Brevard Zoo Page Private Sarah's School Field Trip November 20, 2009

Field Trip to Brevard Zoo! November 20, 2009

My mom has been to the Brevard zoo at least four times for class field trips. For some reason we have never made it to the Brevard zoo as a family. So once mom found out the next field trip was to Brevard Zoo she signed me up right away. On the big Disney bus heading to the zoo! I am sitting next to my really good friend Aiden. We have been friends since we were in the two year old class room.
We finally made it! What a long bus ride! Thank goodness we got to watch a movie on the way!

Mom combined her class with mine so we could spend some time together as well. Mom made it clear to everyone that after we used the potty we were heading to Africa so we could feed the giraffes. I think my mom was more excited about feeding the giraffes than the rest of us. Once we reached our destination, mom bought giraffe a bunch of giraffe food so everyone could enjoy the experience of feeding this unique animal.
There are not many zoos that allow people to feed giraffes. This is one of the highlights to visiting the Brevard zoo. Here I go 1, 2, and 3 my goodness look at that enormous tongue. I can do this!

I liked it so much I fed this giraffe four more time. What a great experience and I can't wait to come again!
Next stop, the petting zoo. What a great place to get up close and personal with the animals. I spent some time brushing this deer.
My mom and her classmates cheered me on so I would build up enough courage to touch this huge iguana. At first I kept telling the zoo keeper that I only wanted to brush her. After being told that I could not use the brush on this creature I stuck my little finger out and touched it really quick. Every one's cheers scared me so much I went running right to my mom. She was so proud of me for being so brave.
Taking a train ride around the zoo.
Anther great feature the zoo has to offer is feeding the birds. I have done this a few times before and am not a big fan of it. As you can see by my face I did not enjoy seeing all the birds around my teacher.

I wanted to take a few minutes and show everyone some of the cool November projects I did with my students.

What are you Thankful For? Every year our school has a Thanksgiving Pot Luck and we used this as one of our table center pieces.
Each of the students made his or her own table decorations. This is just a sample that I have had for a few years. The table decorations the children made this year turned out SUPER! I wish I would of taken a picture of all of them.
Every year I send home a What Are You Thankful For Feather. The goal is for the family to work together to show what makes their family special. This is one of my favorite activities and the board always gets a million compliments.
We are learning about AB, patterns in math so I the class decorated Corn - y patterns.

Reindeer Romp Wed November 18 2009

I mentioned in a earlier post, I am working hard to update the family blog and trying to remember all the details can be challenging. So challenging that my friend Shannon had to remind me that the reason my son was not in any of the photos below is because he was in Vegas with his daddy for the fire fighter combat challenge.

Even though I live in the Sunshine State of Florida, there are still a lot of things to do during the Winter months. Mrs. Shannon and Wyatt invited my mom and I to the Reindeer Romp. Mom nor I have ever been so we thought we would check it out, since we were having a girls week! What other way to celebrate the enchanted winter wonderland than attending the Orlando Museum of Art for the Council of 101's Reindeer Romp during the Festival of Trees holiday tradition. Great idea Mrs. Shannon. We had so much fun and can't wait to go again next year!

Every place I go I can't walk away without having my face painted.

While I was having my face painted Wyatt was already busy at the arts and craft table. Once I joined him I decided to decorate a Christmas tree with him.

Look at all the trees people decorated.

Can you guess which one is mine? I feel horrible that I can't remember which tree is Sarah's? I guess this is what I get for being so behind with the blog.

I am sending a email to Santa. By the way Santa did email Sarah back and I have the letter in her scrapbook!

This was my moms favorite tree. I think someone bought the entire set for a couple thousand dollars.

Before calling it a night I have one last stop! I certainly can not leave without saying good bye to Hello Kitty.

Two Birthday Parties in ONE day! November 14, 2009

Two Birthday Parties in ONE day! November 14, 2009

I am so far behind in blogging but I try my best to keep track of what happened months ago or should I say last year. The month of November was full of birthday parties. I think we have attended at least seven so far this month!

First Birthday Party .... Firkin and Kegler!
Ski Ball, one of my moms favorite games. Check out the score board... she just beat my dad big time. Adam and I are still trying to get a hang of the game. Adam sure does have a arm! Adam sure does have a arm, he had mom, dad and I taking cover a few times.

Now this is my type of bowling. How cool... a bowling ball and lanes just my size. I even got a STRIKE!

RYAN'S 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY! I LOVED THE SPONGE BOB CAKE!

Onto the second birthday party! Adam and I took about a thirty minute nap in the car between parties. Yep just enough to get us ready for Ava's Fourth Birthday Party at Red Bug Lake Park!
A princess bounce house! Adam is trying so hard to stand up but Ava and I are making it really hard for him.

Enjoying the great weather and one on one time with my friend Ava.

A few shots that Ava's daddy took during the party!

Can you believe we are only four months apart!

Mom and I playing around!

Happy Birthday Daddy Animal Kingdom Nov 13, 2009

Happy 34th Birthday Daddy. Today dad and I are spending the day at Animal Kingdom. Neither of us have been to Animal Kingdom before, so we thought we would check it out. The cool part is we both got into the park for free!!!! YEP for free, see when it is your birthday you can pick one of the Disney parks and spend the entire day having fun without spending a dime. Well that is if you pack your lunch and drinks. I could not ask for a better way to spend a daddy daughter day than at a Disney Park. Enjoy the photos.

Trick or Treat Happy Halloween October 31, 2009

Trick or Treat Happy Halloween October 31, 2009

Happy Halloween everyone! I have attended so many different Halloween events this month that I have almost worn every princess dress I own. I was Snow White during Sea Worlds Halloween Spooktacular, Cinderella for my school party and for Halloween day I chose to be Sleeping beauty. For the big night, mom put a little eyeshadow on my eyes and let me wear her lip stick. After putting my hair in an up do mom sprayed it with hairspray, which is something she has never done. Now I really am a princess and can't wait to show off my costume to all my friends.

Last year my sister and I dressed up as pirates but this year my friend Wyatt let me borrow his turtle costume. It is a little big but it does the job! Don't I look so cute! Mom said she could just eat me up, that was after giving me millions of kisses. Thanks Mrs. Shannon for letting me use Wyatt's costume. Can't wait to see what you have for me next Halloween!

The back is what really makes the costume. Mom is so impressed that I am wearing the turtle hat. She was not to sure how I would react to a hat on my head but I did better than she thought.

For the last three years we have gone over to our neighbors house the Carr's to take photos. Adam would not get into the photo unless he could hold Katie's pom pom. While mom took the photo I could not resist, I had to give my brother some love. He looks to cute.

When I was one years old I did not get to go trick or treating because I was really sick. When I turned two I went trick or treating in Baldwin Park with my mom and dad. For the last two years I have had the had a blast trick or treating with some really good friend, Wyatt, Preston, and Gavin. This year my friend Ava joined us in the fun and we had a blast trick or treating as princesses.

Ava and I should be working at Disney! Now check out my class slippers. I am not sure what mom was thinking by forgetting my everyday shoes. I did great though I managed to get through most the night wearing my glass slippers. The rest of the evening I either went barefoot, rode in Adams car or on my dads shoulders.

Off we go and let the adventure begin!

What a way to travel!

Our first house of the year. Trick or Treat! Said.... Pirate, Astronaut, Spiderman, Belle and Sleeping Beauty.

YEAH!!!! Look what I got!

I spent some time admiring the ghost on the back of someones car. Every time I would make some type of motion the ghost would start lighting up, talking and wiggling.

Trick or Treating has come to an end. I had a great time, just hot and tired. Loved my turtle costume and got loads of compliments but I just had enough of it. So what a better way to travel home than in my diaper.

I am still full of energy and could last for a few more hours. Now I am ready to check out all the candy I got.

This could cause some real damage to my teeth!
