Day 3 Ohio Trip Christmas Eve December 24, 2008

Day 3 Ohio Trip Christmas Eve December 24, 2008 Santa called me this morning at Grandma and Grandpa's house to find out what I wanted for Christmas and to let me know that I have been a very good girl. My reaction is worth a million words.

We all headed to Skyline Chili! (Great-Aunt Debbie, Second Cousin Kristin, Second Cousin Kevin, Grandpa Bob, Uncle Drew, Aunt Suzy, Daddy Chad, me Sarah, Second Cousin David and Great-Uncle Don. I know it is Christmas Eve but for those of us who are from out of town, we could not resist Skyline! It does not matter what time of day or what time of year it is, just as long as we have our cheese conies and our 3 or 4 ways. (Redder and Hayes you know what I mean). So the question is, since the majority of the people sitting at the table are locals, did they join us because they have not seen us in a very long time, Or... because they could not resist Skyline?

While I am making cookies, everyone else is in the kitchen helping prepare for the special Mexican dinner we will be having on Christmas. Great idea Drew!

Aunt Suzy and I having fun decorating cookies for Santa!

Uncle Drew is taking a break from preparing our Mexican Christmas dinner so he can admire my creativity.

Grandma joining in the fun. Thanks for the special cookie cutters grandma.

Santa is going to love my cookies!

Hanging out with Grandpa while everyone is busy in the kitchen cooking and baking. I think we are the smart ones, what do you think?

Our decorated brownies that magically disappeared in less than 12 hours. Who was the brownie hog, Daddy or Suzy? We all know how much they each love brownies.

This year mommy and I made reindeer food for Santa's reindeer's. We lost an eye between Florida and Ohio.

This says: To make sure Santa stops at your house simply sprinkle this MAGIC REINDEER FOOD on your lawn before Santa's arrival. The smell of the oats and the glitter will attract Rudolph for sure!

After many days of waiting I finally open my reindeer. This photo is of me sprinkling all my oats onto grandma and grandpa's lawn so Santa's Reindeer's will know where I am!

After Adam and I went to bed the adults (Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Drew and Aunt Suzy) decided to open some gifts!

We had grandpa Bob's Bachelor and Master degrees framed. I can't believe he is now working on his Doctorate!

For the last two years mom has made a special calender on shutterfly for grandma and grandpa. The calendar not only has pictures but list important dates! Mom ended up being so ambitious this year she made one for Drew and Grandma & Grandpa Chorak.

Drew enjoying his calendar! Suzy thanks for your help in making this a success!

Pots and Pans paper style!

More pots and pans. The time has come for my grandparents to toss those 1973 pots and pans goodbye! Enjoy cooking grandpa!

Check out the video of me listening to Santa!

Day 2 Ohio Trip Tuesday, December 23, 2008

Day 2 Ohio Trip Tuesday, December 23, 2008 When I woke up, I could not believe my eyes. I found Mermaid Thomas at Grandma and Grandpas house.

This year our family has started a new tradition called The Elf on the Shelf . Elf on the Shelf is a little elf doll that reports directly to Santa Claus. Kids can tell the elf their Christmas wishes. Here's how it works. Mr. Elf comes to visit your home during the holidays. He watches over the home and reports back good deeds to Santa each night. The next morning he comes back and sits in a new location. Your kids get to search him out each day. On Christmas Eve he returns to the North Pole and stays their until next year.

Grandma Denise enjoying every hug she can get from me.

Grandpa hugs. My mom really needs to get my hair cut because I really miss my curls.

Mom read my mind and look my curls magically appeared.

Aunt Suzy and Uncle Drew arrived around 2am. today.

Uncle Drew is still adjusting to the time change and having two loud mouths around. Look at me!

Building a castle with my Uncle Drew.

Great Grandpa Al came over for a pre Christmas dinner.

Second cousin Jenny joined in the fun too.

Great Aunt Mary Beth just loves babies.

We Have Arrived Day 1 Ohio Trip Monday, December 22, 2008

We Have Arrived Day 1 Ohio Trip Monday, December 22, 2008 This is my second plane ride and I am doing so well. My sister is enjoying her movie and I have enjoyed looking out the window, watching parts of Little Mermaid, eating and loving on my daddy.
This may be a free flight for me but I am a growing boy, so can I please have my own cup too.

We have arrived and are very excited to be in Ohio with Grandma Denise and Grandpa Bob. There is snow on the ground and very very cold. So cold that a water line busted in the airport.

Look what I found when I arrived to grandma and grandpas house! Now I do not have to sleep with mommy and daddy. Mommy and daddy were just as excited as I was, I wonder why?

Getting ready for our Ohio Trip Pre-Christmas Sunday, December 21st.

Getting ready for our Ohio Trip Pre-Christmas Sunday, December 21, 2008 Princess stuff and we all know how much I love Princesses.

A soccer ball and I am already practicing to be goalie!

For some reason my sister really enjoyed opening my Christmas gifts. She even enjoyed playing with them more than I did, well that was until I learned how to use them.

Calling Grandma Linda and Grandpa Bob to thank them for my cell phone.

This was one of my favorite toys and I am not sure if it is because my sister did not have any interest in it or because it can move with me.

Winter Show and Party Thursday, December 18, 2008

Today was a big day for me because I had the chance to perform in front of a big audience. I have never been on stage before but I had the time of my life. I sang and danced my little heart out. The program was put on by preschool students. ranging from two to five years in age. There are a few videos at the end of the page. Enjoy. All smiles to see my mom and dad in the audience!
Getting ready to perform our class song!

My teacher Mrs. Christine.

During our class party we had a book exchange. I did not want to mess up the wrapping paper, so it took me at least ten minutes to unwrap my present. I had to save the paper, so mom could use it to wrap other gifts. During the party I also received the Jungle book from my teacher, thanks Miss Christine!

This is one of my really good friends Dryden, who you will see in the video.

This is a picture of my entire class.

When watching the the videos, keep in mind that I am doing ever thing correct. Dropping the bells was part of the show, now my good friends Dryden and Isabelle had other plans. As you can see I am the only one singing and performing and loved every minute of it. After the show mom and dad shed a few tears because they were so proud of me. Mom is certainly signing me up for dance class in March, considering how well I did on stage.

Last Night Tuesday, December 16, 2008

Last Night Tuesday, December 16, 2008
Mom decided to invite my friends Emily and Mady over to make Gingerbread Houses with me. Everyone came over around six on a weeknight. On the drive home from school mom said "what was I thinking to have a play date on a weeknight". We played, ate chicken nuggets and applesauce. Well some of us ate the pizza the parent's ordered. The night was full of smiles, laughs and a little frustration, especially when our houses kept collapsing. The moms had fun putting the houses together and my friends and I had fun decorating. Enjoy the photos! By the way, having a play date on a weeknight was not as bad as mom thought it would be. Keep in mind that mom went a little crazy with the photo's but what's new! The famous gingerbread kits.

Before Photo! Mom and I worked hard setting up!

I am so excited about making a gingerbread house.

Mady getting ready to make her gingerbread house!

My friend Emily, all smiles!

Look at all this candy!

Girls just want to have fun!

So cute!

I enjoyed eating a few pieces of candy then decorating, eating then decorating.

Mady decorating!

Emily decorating!

We have completed our master pieces.

My work of art!

The three amigo's showing off their work of art.
Don't worry, I slept like a chap while the girls made all the noise in the world. Mom can't get over what a good sleeper I am. Now we just have to work on my sister!

Putting up the Christmas Tree!

I was really into decorating the tree this year. I was so eager to put up the ornament I made at my ornament making party. I also was so excited when daddy set up the train set. We had to put it away because we don't have enough room to keep it up. Plus, Adam can't keep his hands off of it. Next year we will be able to enjoy the train set all Christmas long. Enjoy the photos! Yeh I did it!
I sat for at least 20min watching the train. This was so cool.

Let me ride and play!
I just wanted to share a short story. Since Sarah was a little baby I have always told her I love her, at least three or more times a day. As Sarah has gotten older she says I love you after I say it to her. A few weeks ago, Sarah was sitting on my lap and out of the blue, she gave me a hug and said "I love you mom". I could not hold back the tears! That is a moment I will never forget!
